Open Day at Causeymire Wind Farm 9 May 2026
Local residents, families, and environmental enthusiasts are invited to attend a free, fun-filled visit to Causeymire Wind Farm on Saturday, 9th May.
Hosted by Nadara, Europe’s largest independent power producer of onshore wind and operator of Causeymire Wind Farm, the event is set to be a day of discovery, creativity, and learning about the environment and renewable energy.
- Get up close to the turbines
- Enjoy interactive nature activities
- Meet roaming theatrical characters
- Learn about Causeymire Wind Farm and its operations
With guided tours, hands-on fun for all ages, and complimentary food and refreshments included, the event will provide an excellent opportunity to explore, learn, and enjoy a family day out together.
Free transport to and from the site will be provided on the day, alongside lunch for all attendees.
Taking place on Saturday, 9th May, the open day features two separate sessions.
- The morning session, from 9am – 12.30 pm
- The afternoon session, from 1pm – 4.30 pm
Coaches will depart from Thurso and Wick, with pick up points in Halkirk, Spittal and Watten for both sessions.
